I guess my enjoyment for photography started at an early age. There is a story in my family of me taking pictures of the photographer at my folks' wedding with one of those Fisher Price cameras when I was 4. And yes, there a picture of it somewhere.
While cameras were always around, I didn't really shoot much until after my dad passed away in 2000. Over the years, I've learned some of the art of photography with an old 35mm Pentax and then was bitten by the digital SLR bug. Since then, my technique and shooting frequency have improved exponentially.
Coming from a bit of a film background, I prefer to look at photography as it's what you capture with the camera.
